James Brown (Lansing)

James Brown was born March 18, 1970, at Sparrow Hospital, in Lansing, Michigan. The son of Danial Brown. James went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2023, after fighting bone cancer.

James loved spending time with family and friends, campfires, beer, and old music. He never had his own children, but he loved to spend time helping his sister’s kids. James had two special nicknames, “Slim” and “Beetlejuice”. He loved going to the casino with his best friend, Scott. His employment and hobby was hanging sheetrock.

James leaves to cherish his memory, niece, Becky Brown; nephews, Danny McCune and Fred Church; aunt, Mary Byrne; uncle, Bob Brown; cousins, Richard Byrne, David Byrne, and MaryKay Fox; brother-in-law, Danial Church; special friend, Mark Susita and many more.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Brown; great grandma, Lela Brown; cousin, Katrina; and friend, Scott.

The family would like to express special thanks to all of his family and friends for the love and support during this hard time and also celebrating his life and many memories.
