James Cathey (Lansing)

Mr. James Cathey passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 45 years.
He was born August 23, 1972 to James Cathey, Sr. and Wilma Bean Thomas in Albion, Michigan.

James was a devoted son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was educated in the Lansing School District.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Wilma “Jeannie” (Freddie) Thomas; daughter, Brianna Allen; son, Cleveland Cathey; sisters, Amethyst “Jewel” Riddle, Joyce Cathey, Jiná (Richard) Rogers; step-sisters, Dominique Thomas, Michelle Thomas; step-brother, Dana Thomas, California; aunts, Mattie Dean and Anna (John) Vines, Sarah Oliver of Ann Arbor, Michigan; many cousins, other relatives and friends including “my good brothers” Bobby and Marcus Greenlee, Dennis and Greg Martin, Preston Sparks, Fred Madden and Glen Jones..

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Wilford and Harold Bean as well as many other relatives.
