James E. Mitchell (Lansing)

Mr. James E. Mitchell passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan. He was born August 19, 1946, in Wardell, Missouri. The son of Ethel Mae and Elmer Mitchell.

James E. Mitchell, also affectionately known as “Nukem”, resided in Lansing, Michigan, which he loved living in Michigan. He did spend a part of his life serving in the Vietnam War. In addition to being a Veteran, he was a proud father, grandfather, and brother. Also, James took pride in his appearance and was a sharp dresser.

He leaves to cherish his memory children, James Mitchell, Jr., Angela Pulido, April Pulido, Jacob Mitchell, Josiah Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Tara Mitchell, Uriah Mitchell, and Andrew Mitchell; grandchildren, Makayla Pulido, Dontay Pulido, Janessa Brenagh, Carl Louis Brenagh III, Josiah Mitchell Jr.. Braydan Austin-Mitchell, Melody Mitchell, Isaiah Mitchell, and Kellen Mitchell; sisters, Catherine, Thelma Jean, Ernestine, Christine, Shirley, Faye, Sharon, Tina, and Jacquelyn; brothers, George, Leroy, Sherman, Joe, Tony, and Terry; uncle, George Cooper; and special friend Maxine Washington.
