Mr. James Edward Gipson departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 1, 2010. James was born in Philadelphia, MS to Lonnie and Annie Gipson on November 2, 1951.
James was employed at Consumers Energy. He married Rosemary Smith on November 2, 1990. He loved playing chess, reading and watching television. He was a mean, wicked, evil, nasty, fun loving, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rosemary Gipson; children, James Edward Gipson, II, Mark (Kim) Smith, Harvey (Gail) Donald, Victoria Henderson, Kenya (Frankie) Parcham; grandchildren, Marcus, Christina, Desenta, Candace, Kathryn, Kenny, Torinzo, Harvey, Utopia, Calvin, Alitze, Leondro, Anterrius; one great-grandchild, ZaMiyah; one sister, Jacqueline Gipson; step-brother, Kim Harrold; step-sister, Victoria Blunt; sisters-in-law, Mattie Thompson, Susan Rushdan, Tina Smith; brothers-in-law, Michael Smith and Joseph Smith; one aunt, Mariah Walker; one uncle, Dewitt Kelly; nieces, Loni Ann and Victoria; nephews, Anthony, Andy, Jimmie, Mathew, Booker and Mark; great nephew, Jayden Truss; God-daughter, Mary Watkins; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Oscar Creed, Phillip Hudson.
