James Lauderdale, Jr. (Lansing)

May 17, 1958 — December 12, 2018

“Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6

Mr. James Arthur “Bobo” Lauderdale, Jr. on Wednesday December 12, 2018 God called his faithful servant home, we may not understand why but we do know that god is a just god and he can not make mistakes. Age 60 years. He was born May 17, 1958 to James and Margaret Lauderdale in Stanton Tennessee.

James “Bobo” moved to Lansing, Michigan at a young age with his parents. He attended the Lansing School District where he was very active in sports. When James was a freshman at Everett High School, he played football, basketball, and ran track. He gained the nickname (Speedy) because he was so fast. After graduating high school, James moved to Los Angeles, California where he attended business school and went on to promote concerts. He returned to Lansing 4 years later, where he was employed at General Motors and the State of Michigan.

James accepted Jesus as his personal savior and he loved the lord. He would always talk about how good God is, and if you didn’t know him you better get to know him. He was always putting uplifting and encouraging words on Facebook. James had a smile out of this world, and a great sense of humor. He loved his kids, grandkids, and family.

James leaves to cherish his precious memories two daughters, Latrice Lauderdale and Neriterah Lauderdale of Las Vegas, Nevada; one son, Jawaun Lauderdale; two brothers, Lawrence Graves of Springfield, Illinois, and Dwyane (Lois) Lauderdale; two sisters, Brenda Lauderdale and Tonya Lauderdale; six grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Lauderdale; his son, James Lauderdale III, and his sister, Mary-Ester Lauderdale.

We loved him, but God loved him best. He took him to the heavenly home of eternal rest.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
