James Lit Shaw, Jr.

October 29, 1962 — January 12, 2019

Mr. James Lit Shaw, Jr. was born October 29, 1962 in Riley, Tennessee, the son of James and Gloria Shaw. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Age 56 years.

Although James was born in Riley, Tennessee, he spent most of his years in Chicago, Illinois. He was a godly man, a man that put God first in His life and a man that loved the Lord. His love for God was reflected in his love for people. He was such a loving and giving person. He would often go to the Rescue Mission and hospitals to cut hair and shave the men free of charge.

He loved cars and detailing was his specialty. He made sure the car was neat and clean on the inside and outside. He paid attention to the tiny details concerning cars and he could take your car from clean to sparkling like new.

In his spare time, he would go to the casino, play pool and visit family. He was definitely good for a joke or two. He loved hats of all kinds, drawing pictures and talking to those who needed advice or someone to listen to them. He will be missed but never forgotten.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Shaw Sr.; sister, Yolanda Rochelle Shaw; grandparents, Wadsworth and Johnnie Ella Shaw, Willie Sr. and Eliza Whitley; nephew, Andrik Armani Shaw.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gloria Jean Shaw; sister, Gloria Renee Shaw; brother, Michael Shaw Sr.; nieces, Dominique Michelle, Vesha Mikona, Delisa Bridgette, Keziah Arrington, Amariye Ariyan Shaw; nephews, Michael Shaw Jr., Patrick Fitzgerald Sutton Jr.; great-nieces, Promise, Patience Sutton; great-nepehws, Princeton Boyd, Michael Shaw III, Markius Woods, Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Lovevell Hooper, David Jackson, Evelyn Henderson, and special cousins, Steven Adams Sr., James Earl Maclin and Lee Grant Shaw, Jr.

The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Nurses Josh and Allie for their extreme care, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
