James Lovey Johnson âLJâ passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the blessed age of 96 years. James was born April 28, 1927, in Sunflower, Mississippi to Buster and Maggie Johnson.
He was a resident of Saginaw, MI where he retired from General Motors. He enjoyed riding and listening to B.B. King and he loved his family dearly.
He leaves to cherish the memory his one daughter, Maggie Crumpton; three sons, Jamsion Lovell Johnson, Rufus Johnson, and Eugene Blue Johnson; four generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Bertha (Leon) Payne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizze Johnson; daughter, Louise Teda Johnson; sons, Leroy, Jerome, Mack, and Charles Johnson.
