James Mcgee

Our beloved, Mr. James Anthony McGee, was born February 27, 1969 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of James Edward and Gloria Jean McGee. He went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2021.

James was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 1987”. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served for three years. Most recently he was employed at Blue Diamond Steel the last four years before his passing.

James loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved his sports games, shopping on Amazon and watermelon. He was a big fan of Black History Month and celebrating the accomplishments of his ancestors. James was a great man of great character and he will truly be missed.

James was preceded in death by one daughter, Myra Whitley-McGee; mother, Gloria Jean McGee; sister, Tara (Dion) Wilson.

He leaves precious memories with his children, Teraiya, Trevon, Jada and Nia McGee, Jovanta and Donsha Whitley; father and stepmother, James (Glener) McGee; the leading lady of his life, Nyambi Whitley; grandchildren, Evellis McGee, Jr. “G-Man”, Jeremy Robinson, Jr. “Fatboy”; one brother, Christopher (Yamicka) McGee; stepbrother, Cortney Simon; stepsister, Patrice Simon; aunt, Patsy Coleman; uncle, Alvin (Dana) Kidd; godchildren, Patience Sutton, Jamarion Adams; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special nieces Ashley McGee and Iisyss Wilson, special nephews, Kamrin and Isaiah Wilson, and extended family John Frank Whitley, Trina Gibson, Latisha (Troy) Washington, Tamika, Candy, Dante Whitley and Shelton (Elisha) Maclin.
