James Patterson

James Patterson of Lansing, Michigan passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Sparrow Hospital. Age 81 years. James was the fourth of seven children born to James and Queen Victoria Patterson on July 13, 1931.
James was a faithful and dedicated worker for the Lord. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Tutwiler, Mississippi. He later united with Shekinah Glory Sanctified Church, where he served as a deacon. James was employed with Heatherwood Dairy Farms (Penisula) for many years.
Sunday, March 17, 2013, at 11:00 p.m., James work was complete down here on earth. He leaves to cherish his final memories a loving wife of 61 years, Mrs. Ledora Patterson; twelve loving children, Gloria (John) Edmond of Canton, Mississippi, Gwen (L.J.) Edmond of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, James (Willia) Patterson, John (Jennifer) Patterson, Marvin (Eileen) Patterson, Shirley (Patrick) Green, Juanita (Willie) Peters, Don (Kathy) Patterson, Sukena Petway, James Petway, Audrey Roby and Brandon Petway, all of Lansing, Michigan; one sister, Anna Wims of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Thomas Patterson of Gary, Indiana; two sister-in-laws, Ann Smith and Unice Syepp of Lansing, Michigan, three brother-in-laws, Ruben (Cora) Crump of Lansing, Michigan, Eddie Crump of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Willie (Sammuella) Crump of Tutwiler, Mississippi. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
