James Robert Scott (Lansing)

Mr. James Robert Scott passed away August 10, 2017 at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 66 years. He was born August 3, 1951 to Glendon and Beatrice Scott in Lansing, Michigan.

James moved to Arkansas, where he loved going to the Buffalo River. He always thought, when he walked outside, he was in God’s church. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, planting flowers, and drawing pictures. He also enjoyed working at the recycling center in Harrison, Arkansas, where after 25 years of service, he retired and moved back to Lansing, Michigan. In Michigan, James and his brother Glenn shared a home together for 7 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his three sons, James Robert Scott, Jr., Jeremy James Scott, Brandon James Clary; three daughters, Stacey Lynn Atkinson, Crystal Tia Elliott, Sara Lynn Shanks; seven grandchildren, Arionna Elliott, RJ Elliott, both from Ohio, Candice Holmes, Ryder Holmes, Tiyanna Thrush, McKenzie Morse, Eric McMullin, all from Michigan; one great grandchild, Paiton Thrush; two sisters, Tammy Nash, Sandra Morrow; five brothers, Glenn Scott, Andy Scott, Douglas Scott, Thomas Scott, Byron Scott, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
