Janice Hill (Lansing)

Mrs. Janice Lynne Hill passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 74 years. She was born Saturday, May 6, 1950, in Lansing, Michigan to the late Jessie and Eddie Collins. 

Janice graduated from Eastern High School and enlisted in the United State Army; she was Honorably Discharged. Janice was blessed with three daughters, Nicole Brooks, Michelle Brooks, and Brandy Hill Guy. Janice met, fell in love with and married Lewis Miller Jr.  She was the love of his life and his Sexy. 

Janice worked as a Health Care Worker for various care facilities and people close to her heart. The residents at the care facilities enjoyed her personality and friendly nature. Her family was thankful for her help in caring for her Aunt Georgia, and cousins, Robert and Joy as their health declined. The family was grateful for the love she poured on them during their final days. 

Janice loved and doted on all her grandchildren, while also guiding and advising them on being strong individuals and to enjoy life. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Eddie Collins; sisters, Judith King, Oreada Taylor, Emma Berry, Mary Lee Harris-Collins, Marita, and Michelle Tucker.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Lewis (Doc) Miller; her daughters, Nicole Brooks, Michelle Brooks, and Brandy Hill (Charles) Guy. Grandchildren, Marquese Martin-Hayes, Raychelle White, Brandon Anderson, Brevin and Sadie Guy, James and Aaron Brooks, and Ryan Bartyzel, Denise and Emanual Lewis, Willie Horris IV. Sister, Josette Tucker; nieces, Valerie Beasley and Nancy Beck; nephews, Kenny Dawson, Martin King and Larry (Jayme) King Jr.; stepchildren, Terrance, Lewis III (Nicole) and Napolean Miller. Special cousins, Duane Michael Brown Sr., and Luther William Brown Sr.; sons-in-law, Ted Bartyzel and Willie Horrice III, and Goddaughter, Scholone Swanson-Basey. Brother-in-law, Barry (Karles) Lewis; sister-in-law, Angel Williams. Special niece, Tatricia Jackson. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
