Mr. Jeremy Jerome Spann passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Jeremy was born July 27, 1972, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Stanley Gooden and Linda Spann. Charlie Leroy Gray became his stepfather after marrying Linda in 1981.
At an early age, Jeremy accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He attended several churches throughout the states of Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, and Michigan.
Jeremy graduated from Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and attended Jones Junior College where he studied Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Jeremy loved to cook, fish, draw, and fix all things broken. Most of all, Jeremy loved to make people laugh. He should have been a comedian.
Jeremy leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Chesney Adrianna Marie Spann; one son, Jeremy Jamarkis Malik Spann; mother, Linda Spann Gray, Saginaw, Michigan; grandmother, Barbara Ann Spann, Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Tanga Spann Redd (Craig), Midlothian, Texas; three brothers, Fita Elease Spann, Springfield, Missouri; LeRoy Dawon Rhodes (Varsha), Edwards, Mississippi, and Eric DuVal Thornton, Sr., Jackson, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his father Stanley Gooden and stepfather, Charlie Leroy Gray.
