Mr. Jerome Baber departed this life on March 17, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jimmy D. Baber and Ruby Baber.
Jerome attended Saginaw Public Schools. He was a graduate of Saginaw High School class of 1972. After graduation, he attended Washtenaw Community College where he studied communications. He later earned his Associates Degree of Applied Science in HVACR Service Technology from Delta College. Jerome was employed by General Motors as a forklift truck driver for several years. He then became employed by Nexteer for 11 years before retiring in 2023. Jerome was an avid reader and acquired knowledge in various areas of interest.
In addition to his loving memories, Jerome is survived by his cherished and devoted wife of 25 years, Tracy Baber; two sons, Jerome Baber Jr., of Flint Michigan and Stephen Baber, of Saginaw, Michigan; two bonus daughters, Damaris Simmons and Quintoria Simmons both of Saginaw Michigan; one god-daughter, Lindsey Brantley of Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers, Jeffrey (Betty) Baber, of Saginaw, Michigan, Travis R. Baber, and Trevor R. (Amber) Baber both of Albany, New York; five sisters, Felisa (Winfred) Rorie, Fredericksburg, Virginia, Teresa R. Baber, Tessie R. McKoy both of North Carolina, Khalilah (Matthew) Madison, of Chester, Virginia and Vivian (Howard) Brewer of Hammond, Louisiana; four sisters-in-law, Sandra (Elijah) Jones, of Bridgeport, Michigan, Dorothy (Jimmy) Williams, Carla Williamson both of Saginaw Michigan and Valerie Humphrey of Hernands, Mississippi; two brothers-in-law, Roger (Stacy) Cosby and Donald Cosby both of Dallas, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Cleveland and Modena Williamson of Saginaw, Michigan. Jerome leaves a legacy of 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren in which he loved so dearly; special cousin Cornelius (Patricia) Knox; special aunts, and uncles Edna (RD) Washington, James (Joyce) Hollis, and Andrew (Dell) Hollis, all from Chicago, Illinois.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy D. Baber, Sr. and Ruby Baber, son Damien Baber, brothers Jimmy D. Baber and Jarvis Baber, and sister Betty Jean Wright.
