Beloved father, grandfather, son, uncle and husband passed away Friday, April 3, 2009. Age 52 years. Jerry Leon Sanders was born June 21, 1956 in Saginaw, MI to Rev. William T. and Elzonea Sanders. Mr. Sanders enjoyed listening to the Michael Baisden Show, playing dominoes, watching TV and sitting on the porch socializing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving caregiver and significant other, Janice Parham; children, Likisha (Joppo) Gilliam, Chicago, IL, Tawaunna (Michael) Jackson, Shreveport, LA, Jeremy Sanders, and Maya Sanders; wife, Marion Sanders, Saginaw, MI, stepchildren, China, Idris and Robert Everett, Kenyatta, Aisha and Sharron Parham and Charles Porter II, grandchildren, Ava and Naomi Gilliam, father, Rev. William T. Sanders, Godfather, Marshall Goss, sisters, Connie J. and Jacqueline A. Sanders, brothers, DeEddie (Leona), James C. (Donna) and Steve D. (Deanna) Sanders, many aunts and uncles; many cousins, including special cousin Johnnie Trice, sisters-in-law, Deborah Sanders, Carolyn Nolan, Jennifer Jackson, Yolanda Thompson and brothers-in-law, Reginald Choyce, Eugene Everett, Freddie Everett and John Choyce; many other relatives and friends including special friends Tommie Miree, Jack Young, Jr., Gregory Taylor, Ronald Morgan, Glenn Anderson, Larry Choyce, Oneal Pete Givan, and Leo Wade. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his mother, Elzonea E. Sanders, brother, McArthur Sanders, nephew, Troy A. Williams, Godmother Mary Goss, mother-in-law Pauline Everett and father-in-law George Everett.
