Jesse J. Rowe

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Mr. Jesse James Rowe passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Healthsource Saginaw. Age 85 years. He was born March 5, 1929 in New Brockton, Alabama to James and Erie Rowe.
Jesse attended Elba High School in Alabama. He served with the United States Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge. Jesse was employed at General Motors Corporation and retired after several years of service. He also drove big rig trucks nationwide. He was a member of Zion Valley Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Rincher. Jesse enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, riding motorcycles and welding. He also enjoyed repairing automobiles, telling jokes and entertaining with friends and family. You could often find him sharing stories with friends at McDonald's on a daily basis.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, David (Ava), Joyce, Keith and Shanta Rowe; four grandchildren, Mia Conklin, TNara, Ontayvious and Jeremy Rowe; five great-grandchildren, Savion Rowe, Trudell II and Kingston Wright, Tovonna Lane and Saylor Rowe; three sisters, Mattie Langston, Icylean Gray and Virginia (Walter) Pearson; special loved ones, Byron Byrd and Tatiana Piert; many other relatives and friends.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Rowe, parents, James and Erie Rowe, one brother, Sherman Rowe, three sisters, Eunice Gee, Della Brown and Annie Bland.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Covenant Healthcare Cooper and Healthsource Saginaw for their loving and compassionate care.
