Jessica Arnette Chisolm

Jessica Arnette Chisolm passed away peacefully at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan, on Monday, December 12, 2022. Age 40 years. Jessica was born June 13, 1982, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Jennette Chisolm and George B. Patton Jr. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her father, George B. Patton Jr., two sisters, Janie Robinson and Victoria Patton; her brother, Johnny Ray Patton; grandparents, JD Porter, George Patton Sr., Ola E. Laury, and Mable Patton; aunts and uncles, Verna Mae Patton, Francine Young-Chisolm, Nathaniel Chisholm, Odale Chisolm, and Buddy Chisolm.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age at St Luke’s Temple Church Of God In Christ in Saginaw, Michigan, under the leadership of Pastor Archie Smith Sr.

Jessica was a 2002 graduate of Buena Vista High School. Jessica was a compassionate, caring, and loving woman who was authentic and sincere about her family and friends because they mattered to her. She was full of life and laughter and loved having a good time. Jessica had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed her. Her hobbies included playing Spades and Candy Crush, talking on the phone, visiting with friends and family, binge-watching her favorite shows, and online shopping. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children and god-children. Jessica was loved and will be missed tremendously by her children, family, and friends.

Her compassion for people led her to employment at Jayden Transitional Housing working with disabled adults in Saginaw, Michigan.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her loving and caring mother, Jennette Chisolm; one son, Jaylen Catholic; two daughters, Lashan Chisolm and Jamiyah Buford; two brothers, George A. Patton III and Lee Patterson, Clinton, Mississippi; four sisters, Carolyn D. Patton, Glenburnie, Maryland, Beulah (Arthur), Patton-Love Bolton, Mississippi; Sandra Patterson, Clinton, Mississippi; Amanda Chisolm, Dallas, Texas; six aunts, Maxine (Leroy) Parker, Winter Haven, Florida; Dr. Beulah Durr, Houston, Texas, Mable P. (Curtis) Bankston, Clinton, Mississippi; Annie Jean Anderson (Lewis), Overland Park, Kansas; Vickie Hatfield, Winter Haven, Florida, and Carolyn Chisolm, Winter Haven, Florida; five uncles, Freddie Lee (Joretha), Patton Sr. Clinton, Mississippi, Dennis Chism and Billy Chisolm, Hughes, Arkansas, Ronald (Patricia) Patton, Plano, Texas, Hubert(Dorothy) Patton Sr.), of Clinton, Mississippi; two godchildren Kimberly Knuckles and Aubrielle Milsap; fourteen nieces and nephews, Ebony Tenesha Cook, Darius Patton, Michael Brian Lewis, Kimberly White, Arleaver Chemalle Patton, Crandall Cavitt, Travis Robinson, Carlisa Patton, Tamara Graves, Zeppora Patton, Trumone Patton, Immanuel Josiah Patton, Johnathan Bass, and Jordyn Johnson; eighteen great-nieces and nephews; three special sisters, Martina Jones, Kwanietta Greer, and Marie Victoria; supportive special friends, Nekeba Jones and Larce Humphrey; special cousins, Jammie Green, Dwayne Chisolm, and Jamica Taylor; a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends who love her dearly.
