Mr. Jessie James Collier III was born June 3, 1949 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the son of Jessie J. Collier, Jr. and Reather M. Pierrie. He passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 in the comfort of his home at the age of 71 years.
Jessie was a graduate of Buena Vista High School, “Class of 1967”. He became employed with General Motors Corporation and retired from GM after many years of dedicated service.
Jessie was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time, he loved working on cars and driving around town. He absolutely loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie James Collier Jr. and Reather Pierrie; Eugenia Coulburne, Mary McClure, Nancy Carter, Cornel McBride and Ernest Lewis.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Jessie James IV (April) Collier; grandchildren, Brittany Collier, Justine Buda, Madison Collier, Jessie Collier V; stepfather, Willie Pierrie; two sisters, Rosie L. Chaffer, Doris A. Fuller; brother, Walter (Edna) Collier; nieces, Delmaria Johnson, Marcella Collier, Tiffany (Brian) McClain, Michea Biggins, Tomika (Sterling) Brooks, Tosha Collier, Monica Collier, Rashonda Collier; nephews, Alvin Chaffer, Donald McCLure, Joseph Johnson, Useff (Juliette) Perkins, Walter Collier, Jr.; aunts, LaMuriel Lewis, Tina, Lula, Evelyn and Ola Humphrey; uncle, James Humphrey; many dear loved ones and friends.
