JESSIE LEE GARNER entered this world in humble surroundings on August 28, 1928 and transitioned into his heavenly rest on Monday, January 25, 2016. Age 87 years. He was born in Union Springs, Alabama to Jessie Lee Garner and Lugene (Williams) Brooks.

Jessie Lee Garner married Fronie Lee Davenport December 11, 1948 and enjoyed raising a large talented and gifted family, of whom many are ministers, Bible teachers, pastors, musicians and many other gifts bestowed by God. Jessie retired from GM Grey Iron Foundry in 1986. He was a member of UAW Local 668. He faithfully served many years as deacon of Apostolic Faith Church under the Leadership of Bishop James E. Buford Sr. Jessie enjoyed fishing, hunting, Tigers baseball games, watching his favorite shows (Westerns, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune) and counting his money.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 67 years, Fronie Lee Garner; eight sons: Eugene (Ruth) Garner of Marietta Georgia, Eldred Williams of Riverview, Florida, Anthony Garner of Saginaw, Michigan, Leroy (Mary Ann) Garner of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Alfonzo (Linda) Garner, Cassial (Sarah) Garner, Matthew (Shekita) Garner all of Saginaw, Michigan, Rueben (Nikki) Garner of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight daughters, Betty (Albert) Robinson, Jessie Wilson of Saginaw, Michigan, Elizabeth Manidakis of Fernandina, Florida, Debra Garner of Saginaw, Michigan, Diane Scott and Elaine Garner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Josephine (Philip) Moore of Okemos, Michigan, and Esther (Steven) Clark of Saginaw, Michigan; thirty-eight grandchildren, Timothy, Howard, Tangela, Deljandre, Alesheia, Leslie, Eugene Jr., Ebony, Wesley, Larry, Shawnita, Sheree, Donielle, Wayne, Eldred Jr., Ken, Michelle, Justin, Orland Jr., Ruby, Dominque, Avery, Monica, James, LaTonya, Destiny, Cassial Jr., Marcus, Ciera, Phillip Jr., Cayla, Chaz, DarQuesha, Matthew Jr., Starr, Steven Jr., Rueben Jr., Gavin; forty-four great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Johnnie (Betty) Williams, Henry Feagin and Will Feagin; sister, Lula McClendon, sisters-in-law Lillie Davenport, Ruby Davenport, Mary Baker and Sarah Jean Davenport; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends, including special childhood friend, Hosie Campbell.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Lee Garner & Lugene Williams, three children, Louise Garner, Ruby Doris Reed and James Garner, grandson, Ernest Menzie Jr., son-in-law, Milfred Wilson, sisters, Sarah Youngblood and Mae Lillie Harris, sister-in-law, Vivian Feagin, mother-in-law, Lillie Davenport, and father-in-law, Rueben Banks.
