Mr. Jimmy D. Beavers passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at his residence. Age 58 years. He was born August 23, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Frankie Mae Robinson and Jimmie Lee Beavers.
Jimmy attended St. Stephens High School and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. After graduation he attended Tennessee State University. Jimmy was a huge part of the basketball world making all that knew him very proud. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves not to mourn but rather rejoice in having known and loved him one son, Jimmy D. Beavers Jr. Jay Bone of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Clifford (Cora) Banks of Muskegon, Michigan; five sisters, Tonya Beavers-Young, Ernestine (Richard) Parker of Georgia, Angella Staton and Deardra Beavers both of Saginaw, Michigan and Corniethia (Marvel) Harvey of Grand Rapids, Michigan; six nieces, Adrienne Beavers, Serena Beavers, LaKishna Beavers, DeNae Grays, Jasmine Goines and Erica Donald; eight nephews, Curtis Beavers, Demarco Beavers, Curly Grays, Corey Grays, Dionte Beavers, Hilton Phillips, Clifford Donald and Tommy Banks; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sandra Ross and Diane Hughes along with his close friends, Elijah Coates, Kenny Hicks and Kenny Champion.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie Mae Robinson and Jimmie Lee Beavers, grandparents, Ernestine and Clifford Banks, Albert Robinson Sr., a very special uncle, Ronald Davis.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Kenny Champion, Kiesha Lindsey Hardy, the staff of Davita Dialysis, Ivan E. Phillips and the staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
