Joanne E Cox

JoAnne E. (Hummel) Cox passed away Friday, September 28, 2012 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 75 years. She was born December 8, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas and Frances ( Noll) Ethell.
JoAnne E. Cox Granny had a heart of gold, turning everything she touched into something special. "Granny" was a proud volunteer of the Neighborhood House LSSM for over 20 years. She taught sewing, ceramics, arts & crafts, etc. Granny was the go to lady in the neighborhood. Taking every child under her wings, teaching them to sew, or arts and crafts to raise money for their activities. She went through the neighborhood everyday riding her scooter with her blinkers on. She loved giving back. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed working in the yard with her grandchildren. She was a great lady, for all the volunteering and hard work she did for the City Of Saginaw.

JoAnne was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Hummel; her parents, Thomas and Frances Ethell, one brother, Delmar Ethell, one sister, Ellen Sanger; also William Hummel Sr.
