John Edward Fell, Jr. (Lansing)

John Edward Fell, Jr. passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Sparrow Health System, Sparrow Campus in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 77 years old. He was the son of John Edward Fell, Sr. and June Margaret Donaldson, born in Lansing, Michigan on Saturday, October 6, 1945.

John resided in Holt, Michigan, however he grew up in Mason, Michigan. John joined the United States Army when he was 17 years old. He received the Vietnam Medal, earned an Expert Badge with Rifle Bar, and received his Honorable Discharge. John met his wife Laura in 1979. They moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1980 and got married on Christmas Day of 1983. He loved to travel, and racecars especially if it was driven by his favorite driver, Dale Earnhart, Sr. John loved outdoors, spending time with his family, listening to country music, and his all-time favorite singer was Hank Williams, Sr. John’s favorite color was red; he loved eagles and his favorite thing to wear was his cowboy hat and boots.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Laura Lee Fell; 3 daughters, Autumn Lee (Darnell, Sr.) Risper, Lisa, and Angie; son, Chancelor John (Korey) Totten; 6 grandchildren, Dakota Fell, K’Mari Fell, Lyric Fell, Mirykal Fell, LeSane Hart, and Darnell Risper, Jr.; sister, Diane Fell “Dee-Dee”; brother-and-sister-in-law, Russell Every “Russ” and Terry Every; other relatives, and friends. John had a lot of friends; he was so special and touched everyone's heart with whom he encountered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Fell, Sr. and June Margaret Sich; 3 brothers, Phillip Campbell, Jason Fell “Jay”, and Michael Fell “Mike”; and stepson, Jason Richard Moore.

A special thanks to Jessica, Jasmine, Staci and Derrica from Sparrow Hospital for the compassion, comfort care, and support they gave our Father during his time there and to us for everything.
