John Nolan Jr. (Lansing)

Mr. John Nolan, Jr. passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the age of 46 years old. John was born on Tuesday, February 14, 1978, in Lansing, Michigan, to parents, John Charles Nolan and Tammy Carter. 

John was raised in Lansing and attended Lansing public schools at J. W. Sexton High School. He worked in many restaurants in the community, which included, Theio’s, Bonnie’s Place, The Nut House, Frank’s Press Box and Steakhouse Philly.

John’s favorite basketball team was the Indiana Pacers, and especially Reggie Miller. He also loved the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Cincinnati Bengals. John was known around town for his lively personality and basketballs skills, and he frequented the Gus Macker tournaments in his younger days. 

Finally, he may have held many titles, but his most favorite was, “Grandpa Buckets”; the name given to him by his four grandchildren.

John leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Brianna Nolan and Amara Nolan, his sons, John Nolan and Langdon Norton; grandchildren, Mateo, Melodia, Miyae, and Makota; sisters, Bianca and Geneva Carter; brothers, Jason Nolan and Will Carter; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
