John Patrick Bolton, Sr.

Mr. John Patrick Bolton, Sr., affectionately known as Patrick, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Age 48 years. John was born February 27, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan to Joe and Geneva Bolton.
Patrick was a 1986 graduate of Nouvel Catholic Central High School. He attended Delta College prior to joining the United States Coast Guard where he served nine years. He was a decorated Veteran, receiving numerous awards during his service. Patrick was a Master Mason affiliated with Travelers Lodge #46 F. & A.M.- PHA in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Ninth Street Community Church. Patrick was employed by Suburban Collection of Ann Arbor, Michigan as Loaner Fleet Manager. He was previously employed as Fleet Manager of Acquisitions for Enterprise Car Rental where he retired after sixteen years of service. Patrick enjoyed golf, riding motorcycles (Harleys of course), playing Playstation football and watching movies at home with family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially Sunday afternoons watching John Patrick, Jr. play basketball. Patrick will be truly missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.
He is survived by one daughter, Nekia Brewer; one son, John Patrick Bolton, Jr.; his parents, Joe and Geneva Bolton; two granddaughters, Soleigh and Arreana; two grandsons, Jeremiah and Hezekiah; two brothers, Dr. Joseph Calvin (Kimberley) Bolton, III and Charles (Sophronia) Sparks; one niece, MaKayla Bolton; nine aunts; many cousins; other relatives and friends including very special friends, Darryl L. Qube Wimbley, Vonnie Scott, Gurdeep Singh, Mike Moon, and his godmother, Geraldine Caffee and family.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Primus Bolden and Mr. & Mrs. Joe Bolton, Sr.
