Johnnie Mae Tolbert (Whitehead) 'Lil' Sista'

Ms. Johnnie Mae Tolbert, lovingly known as "Lil' Sista," departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 65 years. She was born on November 8, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia to John and Lovie Mae Whitehead.
Johnnie Mae was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and was a graduate of Saginaw High School. She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour at an early age. Johnnie Mae was employed by General Motors Central Foundry Division (Saginaw Malleable Iron), retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of U.A.W. Local 455. Johnnie Mae loved to shop and watch movies. She will be missed by family and friends who loved her dearly.
She leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter, Torra Whitehead, Antioch, Tennessee; one grandson, Reginald Arthur, Jr., Antioch, Tennessee; one sister, Brenda Austin, Lithonia, Georgia; one niece, two nephews, many cousins; special cousin, Debara Abdullah; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Valerie Hill and Ruby Garth.
Johnnie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lovie Mae Whitehead and her aunt and uncle who raised her, Bessie and Pink Mott.
The family expresses special thanks to everyone who shared kind words of comfort, prayers and other expressions of sympathy during our bereavement.
