Mr. Johnnie Ray Ford
, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022. He was born April 16, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Emma Lee Brown-Jackson and Ray Ford.  


His formative years were spent in Little Rock, Arkansas where he received his formal education. He moved to Saginaw, Michigan, where he began his career at General Motors and retired after many years of service. Johnnie lived a vibrant life and enjoyed his weekly traditions of karaoke, playing the piano at his home, watching cowboy western movies, and of course, telling jokes to keep everyone smiling. He was also a third-degree Karate blackbelt. 


He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 16 years, Kathy Lynn Ford, Saginaw, Michigan; three daughters, Trina Brown, Little Rock, Arkansas, LaShonda Carpenter, Amber Rai Ford, Saginaw, Michigan, and one son, Michael Ford, of Virginia.  From his marriage, seven stepchildren, Curtis, Kathy, Norman, Anthony, LaToya, Jenna, and Larry.  He also leaves to cherish his memory five grandchildren, Denver, Little Rock, Arkansas, T’Andre, Ta’Shayla, Treyon, De'Marion and great-grandson, Key’Andre, of Saginaw, Michigan: one sister and brother, Clara Ford and Johnny Ford, Little Rock, Arkansas. 


Through his karaoke days at The Junction, Johnnie Ray had many special friends, including Chad and Gary, and from his childhood, Roy West. 


Johnnie Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lee Brown-Jackson; father, Ray Ford; stepfather, Darlee Jackson, and brother, Keith Ford.
