Jonathan Simmons

February 3, 1968 — March 6, 2013

On March 6, 2013 our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend slipped away from us at his residence at the age of 45 years. Jonathan Patrick Simmons was born February 3, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan to Christene Cross and Johnnie Simmons Jr. II.
Jonathan was a 1986 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. He was a faithful employee of Krogers for over 20 years. Jonathan was a member of Living Water Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Robert Simmons. He was a great musician and loved playing his guitar. His greatest pleasure was to hang out laughing and talking with family and friends. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, Damaris, Quintoria, Savannah, Semaj and Taniyah; one son, Jonathan Jr.; two stepchildren, Prentice (Anthony) Phillips, Indiana and Priscilla Phillips, Saginaw, Michigan; his parents, Christene and Tim Cross; four sisters, Veronica Bond, Crystal Jackson, Racquel (Keith) Moore, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Kristina (Michael) DeLuze, Kailua, Hawaii; two brothers, Rodney Graham and Johnnie (Shontrell) Simmons Jr. III, both of Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Troy Butler, Surhaver Matthews, Danny McDole and Blake Podojah.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Simmons Jr. II, his grandparents, Luther and Emma Graham, Supt. Allen and Roberta Paige and other relatives.
The family would like to express special thanks to Jerome and Tracy Baber, Loretta and Collins Johnson.
