Jones St. Pierre

Jones St. Pierre passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 84 years. He was born October 2, 1929 in St. Lucia, West Indies.
On December 28, 1989 Jones joined Gloria Wicker in holy matrimony. She survives him. Jones loved to play cards and dominos. He enjoyed taking walks, gardening and building things. Jones always looked forward to attending the St. Lucian Carnival in St. Lucia. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His presence will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gloria Wicker-St. Pierre; five daughters, Eileen St. Pierre of the United Kingdom, Josephine St. Pierre and Malica St. Rose, both of St. Lucia, Margrete Thorne of Barbados, Nettie Shaddock of Massachusetts; five sons, Augustus Saltibus, Hilary St. Martin and Jason Polius, all of St. Lucia, John and Tyrone St. Pierre, both of the United Kingdom; twenty-seven grandchildren including a grandson whom he shared a special bond, Xion St. Pierre; sixteen great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Gaines, Erma Terrell, Margie Evans, Beatrice Foster and Mary Williams; one brother-in-law, Thomas (Mollie) Wicker; one niece-in-law, Janel (Lee) Arnette; grand-niece, Tiffany Arnette; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, Chaplin Murphy.
Jones was preceded in death by one daughter, Katie St. Pierre.
The family of Jones St. Pierre would like to thank Dr. Miriam Torres and all the doctors and nurses who cared for Jones during his illness.
