Joseph Stuckey

February 22, 1959 — April 11, 2020

Joseph Stuckey, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born February 22, 1959 to James and Ona (Reid) Stuckey.

Joseph, lovingly called “Joe Joe”, was a graduate of Carrollton High School. He met the love of his life, Buelah Essex, more than twenty years ago and the two married in 2009.

Joseph worked and retired from Universal Engineering Microbore in Frankenmuth, Michigan. He was a long-standing member of Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church. His hobbies included remodeling houses, rebuilding computers and gardening. Joe Joe also loved fishing, grilling, and music, in addition to being a movie buff.

Spending time with his family and friends was his favorite thing to do. He especially enjoyed the company of his wife and doting on his parents. His devoted wife Buelah, whom he called “My Little Woman”, was the apple of his eye and they shared a beautiful love story. From dating, to marriage, to raising a family and beyond, their love story was like a fairytale that only few find. A hard working man and provider is the legacy Joseph has left us and we are forever grateful.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother, Ona Stuckey and brother, Jonathon R. Stuckey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Buelah Essex Stuckey; father, James Stuckey; three daughters, Damestra Ward, Tameka Adams, Ericka Agbor, all of Saginaw, Michigan; children he raised, Twanda Essex, Antwenette Miller, Ebanisha Moller, Dorita Adams, Lashonda Essex, Rushon Essex, Thomas Essex, Latavia Essex, all of Saginaw, Michigan; sisters, Prenella Nathan, Saginaw, Michigan, Patricia Hill, Texas, Priscilla Cormier, Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Reverend James Stuckey, Jr., Saginaw, Michigan, Jayson Stuckey, Belleville, Michigan; mother-in-law, Mattie Essex; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Clarence Carter, Pony, Cap and Allen.
