Mr. Joseph T. Ervin was born July 5, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of J.T. and Georgia (West) Ervin. He gained his wings on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the age of 59 years.
Joseph, nicknamed “Bo”, grew up in Burt, Michigan. He graduated from Chesaning Union School, “Class of 1977.” He worked with his hands and retired from Roofers, Local 149.
Bo enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was known for his barbecuing and his moves on the dance floor. A loving husband, protective father and adoring grandfather is how he will be remembered and cherished.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Georgia West Ervin; sisters, Linda and Janice; brothers, Bruce and John Thomas; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Nancy.
He leaves a lifetime of memories with his wife, Diana Smith Ervin; three sons, Joseph (Kari) Erdmann, Michael (Alicia) Smith, John Smith; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kouri, Adison, Braelynn, Michael Jr.; step-grandchildren, Payten, Tommy, Lil Nevaeh; two sisters, Eunice (Faye) Ervin; Gloria "Penny" West (Sam); two brothers, J.T. Jr. (Shirley), Willie (Felita) Ervin; eight nieces, seven nephews; five aunts; three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Kenneth Seawood, Douglas Turner, Charlie Harris, Stan Puchacz, Blake Whitten, Paul "Hoss", Dan and Stephen Zervan.
