Joseph Williams, Jr.

July 8, 1932 — July 6, 2021

Mr. Joseph Williams, Jr., beloved dad, granddad, great-granddad, and war veteran passed away on July 6, 2021, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born July 8, 1932, to Joseph Williams Sr. and Essie Lee Taylor.

Mr. Williams was a boxing champion in the Heavyweight Division in Germany. He was a comedian, singer, dancer, and fixer of anything. Basically, he was a real-life Superhero! If you could not figure it out, just call Joe and he would come. Joe did not turn down anyone who needed help. If you were having a bad day, he could make you laugh with one of his many stories. If no one else laughed, his #1 fan and cheerleader, Dolores, his wife of more than 50 years, was sure to laugh at his jokes. Joe loved his life and his wife and best friend, Dolores. With her by his side, he knew no fear. This great man, king, hero and friend will truly, truly be missed, but not forgotten. His legacy will live on forever.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Christopher (Shirley) Williams, and Joseph Williams, III; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one brother, Alonzo Taylor; one sister, Nadine Harrison; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Tony Stewart.
