Joshua Burke (Lansing)

Mr. Joshua Burke passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 34 years. He was born August 13, 1984 to Jolanda Gomez Burke and Swift Burke in Lansing, Michigan.

Josh was the only boy amongst his siblings, which means he was very spoiled by not only his parents but his sisters as well. With that being said Josh knew how to spoil back and that's just what he did to his nieces and nephews. He couldn't go to a store without leaving with something for at least one of them, especially his fat girl and fat boy. Josh would tell you that they were cute because they looked just like him. He is now with his Mom again and even though he isn't here physically to look out for his loved ones, Josh will continue to make sure they are looked after from above.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Swift Burke; grandfather, Elias Saldana; 3 sisters, Liza Gomez, Ashley Burke and Tiffany (Lucio) Vidal; 5 nieces, Precious Gomez, Natalia Vidal, Veronica Vidal, Sirena Vidal and A’marie; 3 nephews, Sergio Gomez, Joseph Vidal and Lucio Vidal, Jr.; 4 aunts, Theresa Winnie, Dora Winnie, Marina Saldana and Freddie Slocum; 6 uncles, John Saldana, Arturo Saldana, Oscar Saldana, Gabriel Saldana, Jimmy Burke and Hobart Burke; many cousins including special cousin, Ruven Rodriguez who was like a brother; other relatives and friends including special friends who were like brothers, Josh Mireles and Luis Galindez.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jolanda Burke; grandmother, Maria Winnie and grandfather, Douglas Winnie.
