Our beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew, Joshua Phillips passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the age of 17 years. He was born on July 9, 1999 to Nukila Jones and Jamie Phillips.
Josh attended Saginaw Public Schools. He could light up the room with his smile. Josh loved basketball and playing video games. He will be missed by family and friends.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Nukila Jones (Dwayne Hooker); father, Jamie Buff (Rasheda) Phillips; grandparents, Robert and Ethel Robinson; five sisters, Jayme, Keosha and Jayla Phillips, DaJae and Oaniyia Hooker; nine brothers, Demetrius Oliver, Jamie, Jeremiah, Jaylin Philips, De-Ron Layton, Darius Jones, Dee-Atrics and Dame Hooker, Torion Tucker; one niece, Jaiya Phillips, one nephew, Jamie Phillips; aunts, Bernice and Misty Phillips, Ruby Jones, and special aunts, Bernice Phillips and Tara Terry; uncles, Roderick, Stanley (Cekeshiawin), Jessie (Barbara) Jones, Jamias Robinson, Joe, and Eric (Nina) Phillips.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Helen Phillips; great-grandmother, Lille Anderson; uncles, Maurice Terry and Anthony Jones and his cousin, Thomas Lee.
A private service has taken place.
