Joyce Youngblood-Jackson

January 11, 1960 — February 7, 2020

On Friday, February 7, 2020, an angel got her wings. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend made her transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home at the age of sixty years.

Joyce Elaine Youngblood was born January 11, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur Lee Sr. and Sarah Lee (Brooks) Youngblood. She was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and went to Saginaw Public Schools where she graduated from Saginaw High School.

Joyce was a member of Christ Kingdom Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Edward Jackson and served on the usher board. She held many previous jobs but she loved being a cosmetologist the most.

Joyce married her best friend and husband, Eugene Jackson in May of 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and arching eyebrows. She especially enjoyed playing with her trusted companion, Domino.

Ecclesiastes 3 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Sixty years was not enough time, but we look forward to spending eternity with our beloved Joyce. See you in the morning.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jackson; parents, Arthur Sr. and Sarah Youngblood; brother, Arthur Youngblood, Jr.; sisters, Gloria Hale, Patricia Youngblood-Swilley; grandmother, Lugene Brooks-Williams; niece, Marlene Hale; nephews, LeMonte Davis, DeWayne Hale; best friend, Sharon Parker.
