Joycelyn Mcfarlane

April 10, 1962 — October 2, 2023

Ms. Joycelyn McFarlane, affectionately known by family and friends as Auntie Pansy, Joycelyn, and Miss P, was born on April 10, 1962, in Middle Buxton, Jamaica, to Ernest McFarlane and Daisy McFarlane. On Monday, October 2, 2023, our mother, guiding light, and source of unwavering love and support in our lives, entered eternal rest at the age of 61 years,

Joycelyn possessed a rare and beautiful strength that carried her through life's challenges with grace. Her kindness knew no boundaries, and her compassion touched the hearts of everyone she met. She had a way of making you feel cherished, loved, and understood, a gift that will live on in our memories.

As a mother, Joycelyn was the epitome of selflessness. Her love for her family and friends was endless, and she poured her heart into nurturing and caring for us. She taught us the values of love, integrity, and perseverance, shaping us into the daughters we are today. Joycelyn had a deep passion for music and singing; if at any time you wanted to find her all you had to do was follow the singing. Her smile was infectious, and she encouraged us to embrace life's joys wholeheartedly.

Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on each of us. Her legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, a reminder of the love and warmth she brought into our lives. In our grief, we find solace in the knowledge that mommy is at peace now, watching over us with the same love and care she gave us throughout her life. As we say our final goodbyes, we remember the lessons she taught us and carry her spirit forward in our own lives.

Rest in peace, our sunflower, our yellow bird, You will be deeply missed, but your memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love you.

She leaves to cherish loving memories four beautiful daughters, Dahlia Grant, Veron Spencer, Amory Campbell, and Kahlia Salmon; nine grandchildren, Odarie and Odane Rogers, Matthew Smith , Rhonda O’Connor, Francios Francis, Cleyon and Xander Campbell, Travian and Theodore Kenlock; four great-grandchildren, Orlando Smith, Raven Smith, Joshua Brown, and Jhayson Balliston; three sisters, Sylvia, Elizabeth, and Marion McFarlane; one brother, Alvin McFarlane; nieces, Patricia, Joycelyn, LaTasha, Antoinette, Yanique, Nyoka, Isheka, and Sharon; nephews, Desmond, Carlton, Magnus, Junior, Renard, Sean, and Hashani.
