Juanita Faye Price was born along with her twin sister, Wanda, on November 11, 1949 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of Bill and Mildred Price. She passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at 70 years of age.
The Price family migrated from Tennessee to Saginaw, Michigan in 1955. Juanita was educated in Saginaw Public Schools, graduating in 1967. She went on to complete her Licensed Practical Nurse training and was employed at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital. She transitioned into retail sales/management and was employed at various retailers including Service Merchandise, Marshall Fields/Macys, TJ Maxx, and Home Depot. She retired from Home Depot in 2018, where she received multiple employee awards and was the Employee of the Year in 2017.
Juanita moved to Detroit, Michigan in the early 2000s. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and resided in DeSoto, Texas prior to returning to Saginaw in March 2019. Juanita was a hard-working, vibrant, energetic woman with a vivacious personality who made friends everywhere she went. She would sing along to every song, dance at the parties, loved fashion and watching HGTV. She will truly be missed but always remembered.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mildred Price; sisters, Wanda Brooks, Imogene Davis; brothers, William Price, Freeman Price, and William Miller.
She leaves behind her daughters, Roxanne Price, DeSoto, Texas, Robin (Chris) Pirtle, Silver Spring, Maryland; grandchildren, Mehki Price, Ryan Pirtle; a very special niece, Erricka (Todd) Edmonds; sisters, Ann Darby, Margaret Jackson, Mildred (Morris) Valley, Margaret (Audrain) King, DeSoto, Texas; brother, Alfred (Chanta) Price; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
