Judy M. House (Lansing)

Judy Mae (McCoy) House passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the age of 76 years. She was born October 28, 1942 to Buster McCoy and Emma Thompson in Gurdon, Arkansas.

Judy received her formal education through the Gurdon Public School District, graduating from Henry Bell High School in 1960. In 1979, as a young woman she relocated to Lansing, Michigan, and continued her education by attending Craig’s College of Beauty. Judy was a resident of Lansing for 39 years. She loved doing hair! She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Kenneth D. (Desi) House; daughters, Hope (Eddie) Bonney, Latishua Childress; God-daughter, Candis (Roger) Cummings; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with a 4th on the way, and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Andrew D. House, and sister, Lois.
