Our beloved mother and grandmother, Julia B. King transitioned to Heaven the morning of August 10, 2014 at her residence. Age 80 years. She was born August 8, 1934 in Brooksville, Mississippi to Mary L. Pittman and George Foote.
Julia found Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Paul E. Broaddus. Julia loved her family and she enjoyed spending time with them. Her presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Edna (Mitchell) Jones, Vera King, John D. King, Hubert Wayne (Trena) King and Julius Johnson; five sisters, Mary Mosley and Jeanne Haller both of Saginaw, Michigan, Bernice (Eddie) Hill and Brazella Bush both of Macon, Mississippi, Deloris (Jim) Wilkerson of Brooksville, Mississippi; one brother, Willie H. Foote of Dallas Texas; grandchildren, Mary Moten, Nikia L. Williams, Dametrice (Laketa) Brodnex, Diamond, Deyonna and Starletta King, Terrance Dennis, Shenna Robinson, Julius Johnson Jr., Shaleana McKinney and Hi King; sixteen great-grandchildren, ; one great-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews including a special niece whom she loved dearly, Nancy Joseph and special nephews, Minister McArthur Whitfield and A.D. King; a special cousin, Mary Jackson; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends including her special friends, Johnnie Gilmore, Estella Bibbs and Dorothy House.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and George Foote, one sister, Georgeia Repert and one brother, George Foote.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Pastor Paul E. Broaddus and the Truevine Missionary Baptist Church family and to everyone who offered kind words, prayers and condolences.
