Ms. Julia Essex passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 35 years. Julia was born November 20, 1989, in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert Lee Essex Sr. and Christy Baker.
Julia affectionately known as “Red-Juicy” was a loving, adventurous, and ambitious individual. Julia attended Saginaw Public Schools.
Julia leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Amari Danielle Gonzales; goddaughter, Nova; parents, Robert Lee (Cheri) Essex Sr., and Christy (Charles) Baker; sisters, Theresa (Donald) McClellon, Gloria (Pedro) Gonzales, Marlissa Bell, Audrey Winchell, Jenaysia Baker, and Aleta Lapage; brothers, Rodger (Mary) Essex, Terry Essex, Levi Essex, and Major Essex; nieces, Jade Essex, Morgan Essex, Royalty Erskine, Marlissa Bell II, and Jeasley Bell II; nephews, Robert Essex III, Travon Cotton, Jeffery Williams, Jr., Rodger Essex Jr., Christian Essex, Antonio Gonzales, Jordan Essex, Isaiah Bell, and Israel Bell; aunts, Hattie Greer, Geneva (Bob) Myles, Ella Williams, Eattie Nolan, Maggie (Bennie) Davis, Mary Mims, Mary Campbell, and Johnny Mae Essex, and a host of cousins, and many other relatives and friends including special friends Stephney, Jenipher, Myssha, and Cheyanne.
Julia was preceded in death by her brother Robert Essex Jr.; grandparents, James and Maggie Essex; Uncles, Floyd Mims Sr., and Tommie Essex; special cousins, Lakeisha Harris, Dequaris Essex, DaQuan Mims, Mary Hatchett, and Floyd Mims Jr.; and best friends, Ashanti, Rosalinda, Janessa.
