Mrs. June Gilah Priest passed away peacefully Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the blessed age of 91 years. She was born June 23, 1928 to Earnest W. J. and Pearl Alma Nelund in Lansing, Michigan.
At some point, June's parents relocated to Waco, Texas, which is where she spent her childhood years. June returned to Michigan as a young adult and spent her remaining years between Lansing and Mason, Michigan. Before June’s health began to fail, she was a tremendous asset to her family, church family, and neighborhood community. While June’s husband, Ronald was alive, they both were always willing to lend a helping hand whenever possible. She will be greatly missed by both her family and friends for her immense care of others.
Although June, was a bit of a homebody, with 6 children to raise, when she found time for herself, she loved doing puzzles. Until her health began to fail, she was a faithful member of the Assemblies of God Church in Lansing, Michigan.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children; 3 daughters, Nancy J. (Rae) Arnold, Cynthia J. (Mark) Huff and Louise C. (Jon) Rambo; 3 sons, Dennis L. (Betty), Terry L. (Kathy) and Gary L. (Cindy); 3 grandchildren, Mark C. II and Kevin Huff and Janel E. Rambo; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Priest; parents, granddaughter, Keetsie A. Bread Beck; siblings, 2 sisters, Louise Terry, Joyce Walters and brother, Larry Nelund.
