Junius Mcgee

August 6, 1939 — May 10, 2014

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Junius McGee Jr. departed from this life peacefully and went home to glory on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Age 74 years. He was born August 6, 1939 in St. Joseph, Louisiana to Junius McGee Sr. and Mary Williams McGee.
In June 1951 Junius accepted Christ at China Grove Baptist Church in St. Joseph, Louisiana. He met Pearl Miles in 1959. Junius joined her in holy matrimony on October 21, 1961. She survives him. The family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan in 1967 where Junius began employment with Arrow Paper. He retired after 28 years of faithful service. Junius was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of EW Bothuel. Junius loved spending time with his family and working around his home doing carpentry and gardening. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Pearl McGee; two sons, Rodrick Sr. and Bryan McGee; one grandson, Rodrick McGee Jr.; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Steward of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Cora Hill of Portsmouth, Virginia, Dorothy (Marc) Farrow of Fisher, Indiana and Betty McGee of Murrieta, California; six brothers, Robert Williams of Dallas, Texas, Leroy (Bobby) McGee of Dallas, Texas, John McGee, Louis (Margaret) McGee, Willie (Qudia) McGee and Sam (Diane) McGee, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one special aunt, Annie Mae Henderson; two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Eli) Neal of Clarks, Louisiana, Hallie (John) White of Buffalo, New York; two brothers-in-law, John Miles of Clarks, Louisiana and Harry (Rosie) Miles of Houston, Texas; many other relatives and friends including his special friends on the Deacon Board of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Reverend Paul Tolliver.
Junius was preceded in death by his parents, Junius and Mary McGee and grandmother, Evelyn Williams.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Nurse Shirley Jones, Dr. Connie Braun and the staff of Covenant Healthcare for their many years of service.
