Kamilah Pitts (Lansing)

Ms. Kamilah Pitts passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 28 years. She was born August 8, 1989 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Vanetta Pitts and Dave Ware.

Kamilah resided in Lansing, Michigan where she was a past member of Friendship Baptist Church. She graduated from Pen Foster High School, class of 2015. Kamilah worked previously at Fire Mountain Grill. She loved hair and makeup. Kamilah also attended Dorsey School of Cosmetology briefly. She was a go getter despite the many challenges she faced throughout her life. Her grestest challenges were fear and doubt which played itself out with her long history of drug abuse. In spite of all her challenges, Kamilah truly loved her children and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Keon (age 8), Kena (age 6), Nadia and Sippheona (age 4) and Milah (age 2); mother and father, Vanetta Pitts and Dave Ware; grandmother, Luevercy Pitts; one sister, Melinda; 5 brothers, Mercellus, Scotter, Dave, III, Isaiah and Richard; nephew, Jaden; five aunts, Dolly Ware, Zenobia Pease, Marilyn Pitts, Janice Marshall, Katie Pitts and Janice Pitts; two uncles, Johnny Pitts and Richard Pitts; many cousins, relative and friends including Benny, Toya Nelson, Jamie and A.J.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dave and Dorothy Ware; grandfather, Leslie Pitts; two uncles, Michael Ware and Leslie Pitts, Jr.
