Karen Allen (Lansing)

Karen Veronica Allen was born August 22,1974 in Lansing, Michigan to Oral Brandon & Mandie Brandon. On February 28, 2018, at the age of 43 years, she answered God’s call and transitioned from this side of eternity.

Karen was known as the nice one in her family. With a heart pure as gold, she never met a stranger because all who met her loved her and instantly became family to her. She was a true testament to how we are to love one another as Christ first loved us. She was always providing a listening ear, a warm meal, a hairdo, or even a place to sleep to those in need.

Karen rededicated her life to Christ, and joined the Jesus of Nazareth Church of God In Christ prior to her passing.

She leaves to Cherish her memory, her children, Takeria and Antoria Taylor of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Anthony Griffin, Antavian Purdue, Dha’Moni Taylor, Anterrion Moore, Antrez Petersen, Anterria Petersen and Antalina Fields; parents, Oral Brandon and Mandie Brandon; sisters, Vallie Mae Allen, Mabel Allen both of Mississippi, Jacqueline Allen, Johnnie Mae Hall, Lavida Allen, Sonya Allen and Sophia Allen all of Lansing, Michigan, Brenda Neil of Texas; brothers, George Allen, Shelton Allen, Otis Allen. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who were dear to her heart.

Karen was preceded in death by the love of her life, Anthony Taylor; her daughter, Aaniyah Allen; grandson, Trevionne Perrault; grand-parents, Willis and Lula Brandon; great-grandparents, Eugene Allen and Mary Ann Ware; brother, Oral Allen; nephews, Troy Macklin, Charles Allen, William Morse, and Brandon Williams.
