Katherine Mesler (Lansing)

Ms. Katherine “Katie” Mesler passed away Friday, November 9, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 27 years. She was the daughter of Fred Louis Mesler and Joanna Pope Mesler. She was born January 30, 1992 in East Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Katie lived in Lansing, Michigan. She had a strong Christian belief and relationship with God that showed as a light in her eyes and smile. She had the face of an Angel. Katie attended Heartwood School for most of her education. She transferred to Beekman Center where she was voted brightest smile, Prom Queen; later she graduated from there. Katie was a prankster and loved a good joke. She loved to help out at church by handing out programs and greeting people. Her hobbies included shopping, traveling and meeting new people. Katie had a special love and relationship with her best friend, Mary. Through Mary’s eyes, Katie was never seen as handicapped or restricted. Katie was known as “the Baby Whisperer”. She could calm any baby! Last but not least, Katie was a Daddy’s Girl. She loved spending time with her Dad, siblings, nieces, nephews and those she loved. Katie’s love will live on forever in the many people whose lives she touched.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her parents, Fred Mesler, and Mary (Ramon) Bryant; grandparents, Papa Bill and Nana Jodi Morrow; 6 sisters, Christina (Shannon) Heath, Sabrah (Zachary) Hall, Tammy (Demond) Wilson, Brittney Richmond, Amber Morrow and Keiara Bryant; 5 brothers, Mark (Jodi) Mesler, Will Mesler (her twin), Josh Morrow, Jr., Jack Marrow, II and Tyree Rembert; 10 nieces, Alllie, Audrey, Caroline, Parker, Destiny, Angel, Cara, Mia, A’Myiah and Avionna; 10 nephews, Stephen, Andrew, Tarik, Deandre, Cody, Hayden, Colton, Jaiyce, Jeryimiah and Akive; aunts and uncles, January (Raymond) Morrow, Maggie (Mark) O’Farrel, Gini Robertson-Baker and Michael (Karen Lou) Mesler; 9 cousins, John, Mark and Zach, Brooke, Megan, Terry, Robbie, Jadien, Nathan, Brianna and Donavin; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanna Mesler; grandmother, Nana Pope; sister, Emily Buffington and uncle, Terry Mesler.
