Kathrun Lane

Kathrun Lane went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare. She was born February 7, 1963 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Jessie Jones and Leomie Brantley.

Kathrun was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1981.” She then received her associate degree from Delta College. She worked in the healthcare industry for over thirty years in various positions and ultimately as a manager.

Kathrun enjoyed stargazing through her telescope, knitting, gardening and watching her favorite shows, Sanford & Son, Star Trek, Star Wars and Good Times. She enjoyed quality time with her grandchild, Mariah, dining out and traveling. Kathrun was also a big Golden State Warriors fan.

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend will truly be missed. Her presence, beautiful smile, loving nature and sweet spirit will forever be etched in our hearts and memory.

Kathrun was preceded in death by her husband, Vandy Lane, III; parents, Leomie Lewis and Jessie Jones; grandmother, Mary Brantley; aunts, Irma Brantley Smith and Therma Walker.

She leaves precious memories with her loving children, James Lavell Lane (Juliana), Hollywood, Florida, Latrisha Lane, Midland, Michigan, Katrina Marie Lane (Casey), Vandy Lane IV, Katayah Lane; granddaughter, Mariah Marie Lane, Hollywood, Florida; sister, Mestisha Castleberry; brother, James (Tonya) Jones; aunts, Elizabeth Pierson, Lillie Mae Wilson, Paulette, Lucille; uncle, Bob Frye; cousins, Sharon Larry, West Memphis, Arkansas, Jacqueline Lytle Jones, Saginaw, Michigan, Kenneth (Trina) Lytle; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express special thanks to the entire family of Kathrun Lane, the Williams family, special cousin Regina Williams, coworker/friend Beth Hernandez, DuPont, Saginaw Psychological Services, her church family, Dominion LIfe Ministries, Ivan E.
