Kelly Ann Bland-Abner

Ms. Kelly Ann Bland-Abner, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 while visiting family in Indio, California. Age 64 years. She was born September 30, 1951 to Kelly Bland and Dorothy Ranes-Bland in Saginaw, Michigan.
Ms. Abner was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, fishing and watching cooking shows and her soap operas. She was a caregiver for 46 years and a foster parent over 40 years. Kelly was one of the sweetest persons anyone would want to know. She will be truly missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, James L. General, Sr.; two daughters, Jarvara Gross and Kelly Bracey; four sons, Demetre Wells, James C. (Christina) Abner III, Gregory (Tiasha) Gross, Jr. and James L. General, Jr.; eighteen grandchildren, Martin Wells III, Maurice Wells, Gerquia (Sharnice) Abner, Daquaruis Abner, Ombreanna (Joshua) Ford, Samarri Baker, Quantae Abner, Brytoyia Baynes, Curley Beavers, Jesenia Abner, Alexis Abner, Sir-King James Abner IV, Jamestina Abner, Secceanna Abner, James Abner V, Destiny Wells, Gimya Bland and Taequinn Johnson, Ann Marie Lester, Deandre Lester, Evanna Blakes and Destiny Woods; one sister, Dorothy Fawcett; one brother, Anthony (Shawnee) Coleman; one niece, Monique Brown; two nephews, Davondre and Davaris Brown; many aunts, uncles other relatives and friends including special friends, Armontae Murphy, Armonii Murphy, William Harris IV, Sammie, Devon Spengler, Kendall Spengler and Kelly Surles.
Ms. Abner was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly and Dorothy Bland, son, Martin D. Wells, Jr., daughter, Contoyia J. Abner, granddaughter, Onastacia Abner, cousin, Phyliss Chapman and friend, Tina Mayberry..
