Our wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend departed this life suddenly on June 16, 2013 at the age of 44 years old. Kelly Sue Young was born September 27, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan to Betty Ann Krohn and Robert Jeffrey Young.
Kelly was educated in Grand Rapids, Michigan and continued her education in the health field. She joined Samuel Sledge in holy matrimony on January 1, 2005. He survives her. She was a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church for 9 years.
Kelly leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Samuel Sledge; three sons, Amir, Dominick, Wendell Young; two step-sons, Johnathan L. Walker and Tristan Harold; one lovely daughter, Angelik Young, all of Saginaw, Michigan; Four grandchildren, Triey Draine, Savanna Young, Amir Young Jr. and AMauri Maxwell; one brother, Edward Young, all of Saginaw, Michigan; a very special and dear mother and father-in-law, Deacon R C and Nancy Sledge; two brothers-in-law, R L and Emanuel (Jill) Sledge of Flint, MI; four sisters-in-law, Rebecca(Timothy) Beeman, Bonnie Sledge, Shirley (Melvin) Thompson, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Sandra (John) Parks of Atlanta, Georgia; a special niece, Rolandia Harris; one special nephew, Roland Troutmon Jr.; a dear aunt, Sue Krohn; a very close friend, Ann Marie Sproll. Kelly will truly be missed by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kelly was preceded in death by her mom, Betty Ann Krohn, her father, Robert Jeffrey Young, a dear cousin, Blue Krohn, one uncle, Butch Krohn, one nephew, Larry Darden.
