Our beloved father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Saginaw Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center. Age 74 years. Kenneth H. Frierson was born February 6, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee the son of Mary and Harry Frierson Sr. He was the youngest son of eight children in this loving family.
Kenneth attended Clark High School in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and later attended Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Michigan. He was certified in various areas relating to his profession. Mr. Frierson retired from Grey Iron Foundry after 46 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local #668. His grandchildren bought great joy into his life. Kenneth enjoyed playing and coaching softball and girls basketball teams. He was active in his church and loved watching and attending various sporting events. Mr. Frierson loved God and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church International under the leadership of Bishop Isiah Qualls.
His memory will be cherished by his children, Kenneth (Alicia) Frierson Jr., Felicia (Frierson) Ruffin, Elaine (Thompson) Greer; grandchildren, Kenneth Scott Frierson, Brandon Ruffin, Matthew Frierson, Lawrence Ruffin III, Broderick Greer, Alexis Ruffin, Keith Frierson; two brothers, Napoleon (Delores) Frierson, Saginaw, Michigan, James Frierson, East Lansing, Michigan; one sister, Sadie Reynolds, Detroit, Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae Frierson, Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, Emma J. Frierson, Saginaw, Michigan, Clare (Ralph) Turner, Chicago, Illinois; two brothers-in-law, Bartow Petty, Saginaw, Michigan, Donald Scott, Detroit, Michigan; many other relatives and friend including a special cousin, Dorothy Frierson, Saginaw, Michigan.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Margaret Frierson; his parents, Mary and Harry Frierson Sr.; sister, Lilly Pearl Frierson-Taylor; brothers, Robert Lee, William and Harry Frierson Jr.
