Kent E. Johnson

Mr. Kent E. Johnson departed this earthly life for his place in the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the age of 58 years. He was born December 21, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Mack and Velma L. Johnson.
Kent was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan who was a 1975 graduate of Saginaw High School. He was baptized at St. Joseph Parish and was a member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert David Jr. He enjoyed playing chess, checkers, cards, dominoes and singing. Kent was an avid Detroit Lions fan who also enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies. He was the life of the party wherever he went and he loved to dress. Kent loved his family and was a loyal friend to many. His presence will be truly missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Taron Youngblood of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kent Eric Johnson Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama, Ericka L. Seevers and Kentria D. Seevers both of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Kennedy Youngblood and Taron Youngblood II both of Grand Rapids, Michigan and DeShone Bell of Saginaw, Michigan; his mother, Velma L. Johnson; three sisters, Elaine Welch of Saginaw, Michigan, Vickie V. Minor of Kansas City, Missouri and Gwendolyn (Quintin) Ware of Detroit, Michigan; his fiance', Cynthia Marie Jones; four nieces, Sabrina (Hugh) Godfrey of New York, New York, Tamara Johnson of Farmington Hills, Michigan, Rkyshia (Jerry) Gascey of Cypress, Texas and Natalie Emerson of Saginaw, Michigan; four nephews, Earl Jr. (Tonya) Welch of Toledo, Ohio, Shafer (Katherine) Johnson and Hyman Johnson both of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Dempsey Emerson of Las Vegas, Nevada; many other relatives and friends including his special friends, Henry Wells of Los Angeles, California and Marvin Surles of Plano, Texas.
Kent was preceded in death by his father, Mack Johnson, grandparents, Willie Mae and Fredrick Brown, two aunts, Zuleika Williams and Emily Burks, one uncle, Howard Brown.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Magnum Care of Saginaw, Covenant Healthcare-Cooper Surgical ICU Unit 7th floor and the Saginaw High School class of 1975.
