Kentera attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated in the Saginaw High School Class of 2003. She then accomplished one of her long-term goals at Latoya's Health Education LPN Program graduating October 2015. She was currently on the Davenport University Registered Nurse waiting list. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Freedom Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Braggs. Kentera was a very loving and funny individual. She was a leader among her siblings, often bossing them around. She would relieve mom of many decisions, becoming her backbone and right hand, as evidenced in her business mannerisms and outspoken abilities as a peacemaker among family members. Like E. F. Hutton, when Kentera spoke, everybody listened. She enjoyed spoiling her one and only son "her dinner date, pride and joy, DeaTerrione. Kentera loved having a good time with family and close friends, traveling, shopping, running her online shoe store Princess Shoe Wear, going out to eat, customizing cars and just being unique. She was very loving on her brothers from the older ones to the younger ones and spending unlimited amounts of time with her baby sister, Corsica. When you saw one, you saw the other.
