Kenya Michelle Woodson (Lansing)

Ms. Kenya Michelle Woodson passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 45 years. She was born Tuesday, November 8, 1977, in Battle Creek, Michigan. The daughter of Patricia Thomas and George White.

Kenya resided in Lansing, Michigan. She was a certified nursing assistant, nurturing, fun-loving mother of four. Kenya loved walks, animals, and children. She was the ”Life of the Party” to everyone she came across. Kenya had so many friends, was strong and hardworking. Some of her favorite things to do include fishing, random out of town food stops, and most importantly, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kenya’s hobbies, in her spare time, were knitting, diamond art, and puzzles of all kinds.

Kenya leaves to cherish her loving memories three daughters, Jazmyne Lewis, JaNee Lewis, and Ja-Laya Woodson; son, Jaydyn Woodson; three grandchildren, Athena Knox, Jenaya James, and Mo’Lonie James; mother, Patricia Marie Thomas; stepmother, Carol Littlejohn; two aunts, Marla Anthony and Nora Woodson; cousins, Mara McKinnes, Quoti McKinnes, Paige Woodson, Daija McKinnes, Kenneth McKinnes, Trinity Anthony, Paul Williams; and Leonna; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Shiana Russey, Terrell Bynum and Natisha Benson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth A. Woodson and Mary A. Woodson, and her cousin, Marcel Woodson.
